Hi all, I am Becky, a 40-year-old reforming chronic dissociator.

I have utilized many holistic healing modalities for myself over the years. They were helpful to an extent; but something was still missing. I persisted with feelings of heaviness, darkness, and disconnection that would not budge. I was stuck in a fearful state. I often found myself numbing out with food, social media, or TV.

I knew I needed something different. I felt a pull towards movement and expression.

Through a series of unusual events (I believe divinely led) I stumbled my way to the Somatic Activated Healing (SAH) Method™ teacher training.

The classes we did in conjunction with the training pulled me back into my body and allowed safe expression of long-held emotions. I learned how to access dense energy and move it up and out. Rather than distracting myself, I also learned how to sit with unpleasant sensations, viewing them with curiosity and love.

After a few months, I felt safe in my body and comfortable expressing myself, for the first time in my life! It was not my original intention to teach this.

However, once, I learned how transformational this modality was for me, I knew I had to share with others!

We are not all the same and what works for one person, may not work for another. So, if you feel like you need to try something different, I would love to see you!

The SAH Method™ is a combination of breathwork, affirmations, simple choreography, and ecstatic dance.

All these components brought into one session help us express and come back to presence.

I am offering a class at 9am on January 4th at the Restoration Room for $10. I would love to share space, dance, breath, and express with you!
