Explain how changes in the nervous system effects persistent pain
Implement verbal cues with mindfulness languaging and mind body awareness into treatment session
Create a plan of care and home exercises program that include yoga techniques
Apply a 5 kosha view with intake questions & postural assessment
Develop yoga informed treatment plans for a variety of diagnoses, low back pain, hypermobility, neck pain, hip pain, shoulder pain
State the evidence based benefits of yoga and mindfulness techniques

7:30 - 8:00 - Sign in - Introductions
8:00- 9:30 - Lecture/Powerpoint: Yoga Physiology - 8 limbs, 5 koshas, Bring Yogic View into Healthcare
9:30 - 10:00 - Small Group Discussion - Developing questions from 5 koshas, ways to bring yogic view into patient sessions
10:00 - 12:00 - Lecture/Experience - Breathwork for pain management/nervous system regulation
12-1pm LUNCH BREAK
1 - 2pm Experiential learning: Introduction to Yoga Nidra & Meditation
2 - 3:30pm Experiential learning: Posture, poses for common conditions - hypermobility, low back/hip pain, shoulder/neck pain
3:30 - 4:30pm Case Studies
4:30 - 5pm - Practice teaching yoga techniques.
5pm - Evaluation/Dismissal
